# Fees and commissions

> Where network fees and commissions apply across deposits, invoices, withdrawals, and auto-converting.

Cryptonly applies fees at a few distinct points in the payment flow. Rates can be organization-specific — always read the actual rate from the API response rather than hardcoding it.

## Deposit network fee

Every deposit gets its own on-chain address. Once the deposit completes, Cryptonly moves the funds from that address to its own wallet, and that transfer costs a network fee. The payer covers it:

* **Invoices:** the fee is added on top of the invoice amount when the customer picks a currency. The payment page shows it in the invoice's fiat currency (for example, "Fee \~0.42 $ · Approx. 2 min"). The crypto amount to send already includes it.
* **Deposits:** the fee is withheld from the received amount. The deposit page shows a "You pay network fee" badge.

The fee is fixed when the deposit is created, so later gas price changes don't affect it. It is taken before the commission is calculated, so you don't pay commission on it.

The current fee per currency is returned as `depositNetworkFee` on [`GET /currencies`](https://docs.cryptonly.net/guides/supported-currencies.md) and refreshes every few minutes. While it is `null`, new deposits and invoice payments in that currency are temporarily refused (`503`, code `exceptions.depositFee.quoteUnavailable`), and the currency is hidden from the payment page.

## Deposit commission

Every completed deposit — standalone or invoice-linked — has a commission deducted before the remainder is credited to your balance. The commission is calculated on the received amount minus the deposit network fee. The effective rate for your organization is returned as `depositCommission` on [`GET /currencies`](https://docs.cryptonly.net/guides/supported-currencies.md).

## Withdrawal network fee

`POST /withdrawal/quote` returns a `fee` breakdown with the real on-chain network fee, in both the network's base currency (`feeNative`/`feeCurrency`) and the withdrawal currency. This fee, plus the withdrawal amount, is debited from your balance when the quote is committed — see [Withdrawals lifecycle](https://docs.cryptonly.net/guides/withdrawals/withdrawals-lifecycle.md).

## Conversions

Conversions (admin panel, or [auto-converting](https://docs.cryptonly.net/guides/withdrawals/auto-converting.md) on a withdrawal) are not charged a separate commission. Stablecoin-to-stablecoin pairs (e.g. USDT ↔ USDC) convert at 1:1. See [Balances, transfers, and conversions](https://docs.cryptonly.net/guides/balances-transfers-and-conversions.md).

## Where to check exact amounts

* `GET /currencies` — `depositNetworkFee`, `depositCommission`, `minDepositAmount`, `minWithdrawalAmount` per crypto currency
* `settlement` on a completed deposit or paid invoice (API and webhooks) — `depositNetworkFeeAmount`, `commissionAmount`, and `netAmount` (`amountPaid - depositNetworkFeeAmount - commissionAmount`)
* `POST /withdrawal/quote` response — `fee` breakdown and `totalDeduction` for a specific withdrawal
* Transaction History detail drawer (**Accounts → History**) — commission and net credited amount for any past deposit
